Bringing the best of Italy to Charlotte, Aria captures the flavors of Tuscany, serving old world comfort food re-imagined in a modern Italian setting.
The story of aria began almost 8 years ago in 2010 with owner, Pierre Bader's vision to breathe new life into the classic Italian dishes he had always loved. With Sonoma Restaurant Group General Manager and Wine Director, Briana Cohen, he was able to build his team to bring that vision to life.
In Italy, eating out is more for social gatherings and enjoying great food. Italian's know that the greatest food in Italy is found on their grandmother's table, with the freshest ingredients either grown in their garden or bought from the best local farmers markets. Everything is from the season, with generations of family standing around a table cooking meals with a true love for food, family and life.
Having visited the Piedmont and Tuscany several times, it feels like a second home. The Italian people and their enthusiasm for their next meal, which they are usually planning while they are eating, for us, puts it all into perspective. To live life for each moment and to see what each day brings, each meal celebrating every moment of that day and what the next one will bring. This is what we do at aria. With every meal we hope to capture that feeling of home, of family, and of celebrating life and its seasons.
Owner, Pierre Bader, SRG General Manager and Wine Director, Briana Cohen, Executive Chef, Chris Bateman, and Chef de Cuisine, Alex Piatt, travel and work together to bring you a taste of the seasons, each season creating a regional menu focused on local ingredients, braised meats, hand made pastas, wood fired pizzas and fresh seafood.
Aria is open daily for lunch and dinner, offering two separate dining rooms, two bar areas and Charlotte's only Chef's Table. Private and Semi-Private Dining is available, as well as Family Style Pasta Dinners for Two and 4 Course Chef's Tastings.
